Designer’s Note about Sizing:

You HAVE to block this hat. (Even the largest size will fit like a tight beanie until it is blocked.) For best results, use animal fibers as in the example, and block as directed. (Stretch it over a balloon or a dinner plate. Really stretch it!)

If you are using an acrylic or acrylic blend yarn consider repeating rows 14-29 of the chart to ensure that you get the slouch you desire, and maybe go up a needle size.
