Brompton Badger is going to school with a satchel full of books. This pattern uses intarsia colour-work to make the badger, and the books in their satchel are made from felt fabric and sewn together. Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the badger and satchel are knitted in acrylic DK yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round).

NEEDLES
A pair of 3.25mm single pointed knitting needles (US 3)

RECOMMENDED YARN
Sirdar Hayfield Bonus DK; double knitting/light worsted weight; 100% acrylic; up to 50g in each colour

NOTIONS
Tapestry needle, toy filling, beads for eyes, bobbins for intarsia and felt fabric to make the school books.

SIZES
One size only - 15cm tall (seated).

TECHNIQUES
For confident beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, increases and decreases, and seaming to finish, and experience with intarsia is recommended.
