For your knitting pleasure, I would like to present an intelligent and highly adaptable animal that has lived alongside humans for millennia - the Brown Rat.

Knitting in-the-round begins at the neckline, continues through the body and then switches to an icord for the tail. Stitches are then picked up in the neck opening to work the head. Legs are knit separately and seamed to the bottom.

Brown Rat will be app. 8” long (not including the tail) and 3” wide when completed.

(This is a pattern that has been substantially revised from an earlier self-published release.)

Learn more about this wonderful animal and 24 others when you read the pages of a naturalist as she travels the world, documenting the animals she sees, and designing knitting patterns for each one. This book was a collaboration with my children who did the artwork.
