A little something, something; a lacy little alternative to a shawl to throw over a Tee or Blouse! Lacing at the sides and lace at the shoulders keep this piece fun and relaxed feeling and just a little playful.

Front and back are the same – just grab and go!

This pattern is knit from the top down, starting with the construction of two shoulder pieces that are then connected by the front or back pieces. The sides are laced together with crocheted strings instead of seams.

Sizing; small/med 34 – 40 inch chest and med/large 38 to 44 inch chest. The length of the body from mid-shoulder is 23 (25) inches when blocked for length. Sample shown is Size small/medium.

A note on Sizing – this garment has been designed with some positive ease, how much ease will depend on how tightly you lace the sides of garment.

Pinafore is worked in two weights and colours of yarn – 440 yds fingering or sport (main) and 200 yds laceweight (contrast);

Sample was knit with Buffalo Wool Co. Happiness (fingering) and Sexy (laceweight).

Happiness is a new yarn from the Buffalo Wool Co -

Made in the USA from carefully “de-haired” ultra-soft bison down, American merino wool, and soft and silky bamboo fiber from Fiberlady. A very versatile midweight yarn; from scarves and shawls, to sweaters and socks, warm, durable, soft. Natural undyed buffalo brown, white wool, and charcoal colored bamboo, give this yarn a soft gray “storm cloud” color.
