I knitted this scarf with the yarn a friend gifted to me for my Birthday. Buon Compleanno is the Italian for Happy Birthday. There are some other patterns on raverly to knit this kind of scarf, from the comments of the ravellers I understood they all require working in the round and the use of circular needles. I knit using the Scottish method, where long straight needles are a must! I have trouble using circular needles, because they slow down my work. When I see a pattern that requires them I always try to figure out “my way”, that’s why I come out with this pattern. This recipe is very versatile, you can use any kind of yarn. It require at least 600 yards of yarn, if you use a skein of sock yarn you’ll ended up with a short and skinny scarf/shawl, which is not that bad at all! It’s perfect for lace yarn, because you’ll obtain a very light fabric.
