A beautiful design which I have made as a square but with a bit of imagination could also be made into a round blanket or done with cotton to make a table cloth. This is an easy project to make on the move as it is constructed from various different motifs sewed together. This pattern has colour photos to show how to make butterflies and how to sew the blanket together.

You can make this blanket any size depending by making more or less motifs.

Gauge is not very exact as long as your motifs lay flat.

To make a blanket measuring 1m by 1m 40 cm you will need approximately 22 balls of dk yarn.
You will need to know how to work in the round.
