The Button-Up Neck Warmer is a simple wrap-style neck scarf with a button closure. it can be knitted from many different types of yarn. It is a great project for using up extra fiber or yarn from another project or for experimenting with a small amount of luxury fiber. Two sizes are shown. The smaller size make a nice fashion accessory worn indoors at the office on cool days. The larger size works great as outerwear over a coat collar for added warmth and insulation against cold winter weather. The button style makes getting the neck warmer on and off easy without having to pull it over your head. The simple slip-stitch design beautifully displays your handspun yarn while giving the neck warmer an interesting woven-look texture.

The pattern adapts readily to any gauge; it is a multiple of four stitches plus two.
