This pattern is for a Christmas stocking with a cabled cuff. The cuff is first worked flat and seamed to form a loop. Stitches are then picked up for the leg of the stocking. The heel is worked using short rows.

There are 3 different cuff options given.

Both written and charted instructions are given for the cables.

Size
30cm (12in) circumference. Length adjustable.

Material
Bulky weight yarn in 2 colours. A wool, acrylic, or wool/acrylic blend is preferable.

40cm (16in) of ribbon (optional) for hanging the stocking.

Equipment
6mm (US10) 40cm (16in) circular needle, or size needed to match gauge.
6mm (US10) dpns, or size needed to match gauge.

Gauge
16sts and 22rnds = 10cm (4in) on 6mm (US10) in stocking stitch worked in the round.
