One skein (100g) of chunky yarn makes these beautiful Cabled fingerless mitts.
Very satisfying project. Starting with longer 2x2 ribbing (snuggly & warm), then beautiful cable continues with the ribbing pattern.
It is very easy to make bigger or smaller sized mitts by using different gauge of yarns. Please see the “SIZE” below.

YARN

  • These mitts are knitted tighter with US 9 needles for better fit on your hands. (All the suggested yarn’s gauge is 14sts / 4” with US10 needles.)
  • Any Chunky weight yarn labeled - 14sts / 4” with US10- works!

NEEDLES

  • The pattern is written for DPN. If you use a different method, please use markers to divide sts as directed in the pattern.
  • Use one size smaller size needles (US 9) than the yarn’s recommended size.

SIZE
These mitts are for women’s M~L. 2x2 ribbing and cables are very stretchy.

  • Bigger size - (Men’s M) Heavier yarns such as Malabrigo Chunky.
  • Smaller size - (Women’s S, Teens) Lighter yarns such as Malabrigo twist.
