A classic vest for women, men, teens & kids. Calidez Vest is knit bottom up with seamless construction, and flat. Pattern includes a substitution chart for gauges 2.5 to 6.5 stitches to the inch, and has extensive size range from 60” to 25”. Vest has v-neck shaping, with options for crew and high v-neck shapes.
Calidez Vest is suitable for for all ages & all year round, and is perfect for all kinds of fiber, yarn weights & especially your hand-spun!

Pattern updated now to include option for making shoulders narrower.

Sizes are of actual garment. Take into account that your fit will be determined on how much stretch (negative ease) you desire; for example, a form fitting garment usually has some negative ease of at least 1-2” through the bust & shoulders, so choose your size based on slightly smaller than either torso (measurement at underarm around chest) or full bust. Making a swatch is essential if you want a successful garment that fits you well.

Pattern is basic and sizes are in proportional increments--unisex-- and graduated in length as well as circumference. If you wish to create a custom-proportioned fit (as for plus size, extra tall, etc) you will need to have experience in making these changes; as more/fewer decreases in shoulder, or length, etc)

I invite Any & All who are knitting Calidez Cardigan to bring questions, comments, great tutorial links, and otherwise general Calidez-related chattiness to my Jenjoyce Group which exists just for knitters of Jenjoyce’s patterns. Look for the thread for Calidez. The kettle is on… see you there !
