Callistemon Beanie is a unisex, textured beanie, inspired by my need to have a bright pop of colour in my life on dreary winter days. It features a deep folded brim, a textured head and a pompom (optional) to top it off.

Fancy matching mittens? Callistemon Mittens are also available.

Yarn: 160 (215, 260, 325) yds/145 (195, 235, 295) m DK weight yarn. NOTE: An additional 57 yds/52 m is required to make the optional pompom.

Sample Uses: The Verdant Gryphon Traveller (100% Merino, 280 yds/256 m, 113g) in Painted Grasshawk.

Sizes: xs (s, m, l)

To Fit: 16 (18, 20, 22) inch/40.5 (45.5, 50.5, 56) cm circumference head.

Finished Sizes: 13.75 (16, 18.25, 20.5) inches/34 (40, 45.7, 51.5) cm circumference.

Sample: shows size ‘m’ on a 21 inch/53 cm circumference head.

Skills Required: working in the round.

Fun Fact: Callistemon is the genus name of an Australian wildflower, the Bottlebrush, so named because it looks like exactly that. It can be found in bright red, pink or even white.
