The Camino Inca, also known as the “Inca Trail” or “trail to Machu Picchu”, is a road built by the Incan Empire long ago, but parts of it are still traveled today, and it is the traditional Peruvian folk dress in the High Andes which inspires this design.

Excellent stash-buster project!
Pattern includes instructions for a chullo hat (with earflaps) & hat without earflaps.

My own design color chart, plus additional traditional Andean motifs in color charts to ‘Mix Your Own’ chullo, and an assortment of embellishment ideas to choose from.

7 sizes from 12” to 26” in worsted weight, but an extensive gauge/yarn substitution chart for fingering -to-bulky weight yarn makes this pattern into a size to fit every head possible, knit in-the-round, with 2 colors or 20. The sky is the limit! (See accompanying Camino Inca Ponchito Cowl)
