CANDY RABBIT TOY KNITTING PATTERNS
I named my toy rabbit Candy because of the pink candy cane stripes. This is a basic knitting pattern for beginner knitters or if you are new to making toys.
THE PATTERN INCLUDES: Row numbers for each step so you don’t lose your place, instructions for making the rabbit with photos, a list of abbreviations and explanation of some techniques, a materials list and recommended yarns. The pattern is 4 pages and written in English.
TECHNIQUES: All pieces are knitted flat (back and forth) on a pair of straight knitting needles. You will need to cast on and off, sew seams and knit stripes (i.e. changing colour at the end of a row). The basic knitting pattern only requires you to know these stitches: knit, purl, a kfb increase and k2tog decrease. For an easier knit, you could knit the tummy of the rabbit in one colour instead of knitting the narrow stripes.
YARN, NEEDLES & NOTIONS INCLUDE:
- A pair of straight 3mm knitting needles (US 3)
- Double knitting yarns (DK or light worsted weight)
- Toy filling
