The SKEINO CARACARA PONCHO is an easy project using Extra Fine Merino yarn. The name is inspired by the Caracara, a rare falcon-like bird found across the Americas.

The skeins are hand painted in 5 different shades in the same colorway. The ribbed neck starts with the lightest color and the Poncho ends with the darkest color. Each skein is completely knitted up for a maximum length. The yarn is superwash treated for easy care.

Starting at the neck the poncho is worked in the round becoming wider and wider through increases every fourth row. This provides a nice fit that is not so tight.

The body part repeat is 6 rows Stockinette Stitch and one Garter Stitch Ridge. One Skein has 273 yards (250 meters) of yarn, the project has 1365 yards (1250 meters). If you are a beginner this could be your first hand knitted garment. What a treat!

HAPPY KNITTING!
