There’s just something cozy about a long-sleeved turtleneck sweater. Like a hug, in yarn form. And this one is even better than usual, with flattering waist shaping and a pattern that’s created to your own unique choices of gauge and size.

Catboat is part of the Summer/Fall 2015 CustomFit Basics collection: twice-yearly collections of the classics of our time. Those fundamental, wear-every-day sweaters we can’t wait to throw on. Ready for you to interpret – in your own materials, for your own wardrobe.

Beth is wearing Catboat in a close fit, but it looks great in average and relaxed fits too.

That said, Rowan’s Wool Cotton is hard to beat for a durable, soft, comes-in-every-color sweater yarn. If you’ve never given a wool-cotton blend a try, we urge you to do so - it has the best qualities of each of the world’s most favorite fibers.

(One quick note on yardage - the yardage requirements listed are based on my preferred gauge for the recommended yarn. And while I’ve given approximate quantities for standard size sweaters, CustomFit will make your pattern in the size and gauge of your choice. And it’s pretty tough to give yardage requirements for any possible combination! If you’re not using the recommended yarn, and/or you’re not a standard size, I recommend Hannah Fettig’s amazing app, stashbot, to get a sense of your yardage requirements.)
