•FICHU: a woman’s light scarf that is draped over the shoulders and fastened in front or worn to fill in a low neckline
This is a shaped Shawl that can also be worn as a hooded scarf. The shawl is started from a shaped back piece that the “wings” are picked up from and then knit out. Most of the edging is knit on as you go with only the very ends of the wings and the edges of the back needing the edgings knit on.

The collar is shaped at the back of the neck, starting from one edging and shaped up and then down to the next edging on the other side of the neck.

This is a pattern that I later painted. For more information on the painting of Lace check out my website.
