Charlotte's Star Headband
Materials: I used three strands of fingering weight yarn (blue grey wool) and a 5mm hook, but any weight is suitable just adjust the length of the starting chain to fit the head it is for.
Stitches: I use American crochet terms. My pattern uses a mix of chains (ch), slip (ss or sl), single (sc), half double (hdc) and double (dc) crochet stitches. The star stitch is a special stitch which i have explained fully in the pattern.
Method: Starting with a large chain to fit the head you want to make it for, you will work in rounds with the star stitches, but rows for the staggered single crochet, before returning to rounds at the end.
