(from Nancy Bush’s pattern description):

Even though this sock was designed for a child of two or three years old, I loved the pattern and thought it would translate well into an adult’s sock.  I also thought size 0 (2mm) needles sounded much better than size 000000 (1mm)!  The design down the leg is made up of squares of openwork patterns.  They decrease down the back of the leg for a "shapely" fit and decorate the top of the foot.  This sock has a French Heel and a Flat Toe.
