Chloë Crescent, my first design here on ravelry and the first in a series of three is inspired by my daughter’s cat Chloë, it has been fully tested except for the bicolor-version, which has only been knitted by me.
The pattern has charts as well as written instructions.

Yarn by Karin Iden - Kolibri-creativ would be ideal

Yarn in Katie Pearce’s shop

The help thread for this shawl can be found there too.
Also I am having an (ongoing) pattern-giveaway here:
http://www.ravelry.com/discuss/chloes-crescent-corner/339... , perhaps you are lucky…

The shawl is worked top down with lace, lace knitting, some twisted stitches, easy cables, wrapped stitches, a knitted on border featuring short-rows in the large size.
Skills needed: lace knowledge and twisted stitches also in ws-rows, picking up stitches purlwise, pfb, yo, ssk, k2tog, ssp, p2tog, all those are explained in the pattern as well as some very special stitches.

I published clues on the following days, starting with clue 1, setup:

• clue 1 on 2014-11-10

• clue 2 on 2014-11-13

• clue 3 on 2014-11-20

• clue 4 on 2014-11-27

• clue 5 on 2014-12-04

• clue 6 on 2014-12-11

What you’ll need for all sizes:

• Karin Iden has dyed some awesome cattish yarn especially for this KAL, both for the large and the small size, you can see samples here: http://www.ravelry.com/discuss/chloes-crescent-corner/303... and contact her here via pm: http://www.ravelry.com/people/kolibri-creativ, Karin has already sent within Europe as well as to the USA, she also offers the lovely cat-pins that can be seen on the next page.

• I discovered some gorgeous yarn in Katie Pearce’s shop, for knitters in the UK this might be just it: Both Yan Sock, 365m High Twist 4ply-weight as well as Methera Lace, 600m 55% BFL, 45% Silk will be ideal…
• Two short DPN for the border in the size you are using for the shawl.
• One very short DPN or cable needle, slightly smaller than the size you are using for the shawl
• Stitch markers, a whole bunch of them, preferably in different colours. I use scrap yarn and make little loops, which can easily be replaced.

Small shawl: Size at least 120 cm wide, 40 cm high at highest point, just perfect for me, I am a size small = 36/38 in German sizes for shirts, so I am sure after blocking it will easily fit a German size medium = 40/42 as well.

Solid, semi-solid or variegated smooth lace weight/ 3-ply yarn ( 520m - 650m/ 100 gr/ 570 - 715 yards/ 100 grs), 1 skein
32 inch circular in size needed to achieve gauge. I am using size 3,5 mm
Gauge in pattern 24 stitches & 36 rows = 10 cm/ 4 inches
Stitch markers, a whole bunch of them, preferably in different colours

Large shawl: Size at least 180 cm wide, 43 cm high at highest point

Solid, semi-solid or variegated smooth fingering weight yarn ( 365m - 380m/ 100 gr/ 330 - 417 yards/ 100 grs), 2 skeins
32 inch circular in size needed to achieve gauge, I am using 4,5 mm

Gauge in pattern 20 stitches & 30 rows = 10 cm/ 4 inches
