Chloë is ideal for beginners - offering two versions on different levels. Just mix and match the design features to create your very own bag. Choose the easy garter stitch version or stretch yourself to a new technique using decreases to shape the flap or add a yarn over – button hole.
Decorate the finished bag with buttons or beads and give it a very personal touch.

The following instructions are just the facts from the bags shown in the pictures - yarn, needle size and gauge are not crucial.
You can easily change the size of your bag by adjusting the number of stitches or rows or using a different weight of yarn plus the matching needle size.

Model A is very simple, you only need to know the following techniques:
casting on
casting off
knit stitch

For Model B, you should also know:
purl stitch
knit 2 together
slip slip knit
yarn over
If you want to avoid ssk, you can replace it with k2tog,
If you do not know how to do a YO, you can skip this step and use the button hole loop shown in model A instead. Or you are using this pattern as an easy introduction to this new and useful technique.
