These are made like traditional Norwegian mitts, with a ribbed cuff and a gusseted thumb. The left hand is peppermint and the right hand is spearmint. The pattern PDF is the charts only, (no other instruction is given) some experience with stranded colour work mittens is helpful.
There are separate charts for adult and child sizes, all other size is adjusted by the gauge.
For the adult mitts.
-26sts-4ins gives you a large pair of mitts
-28sts-4ins will give you medium size mitts
-30sts-4ins to get a small pair,
For man sized mittens use worsted weight yarn and a larger gauge
For the child size mitts
-26sts will give mitts for a 6yr old,
-28sts mitts for a 4yr old,
-30sts mitts for a 2yr old.
There is also a matching hat pattern available.
One 50g ball of each colour will yield a pair of mitts and a hat
