These quick and easy fingerless mitts use less than 100 yards of worsted weight yarn and yet have the classic cabled look of much fancier mitts.

The samples shown here were done in Knit Picks’ Mighty Stitch in Navy, Ivy and Bark. The mitts knit with Bark (brown) have an OXO cable (with a looser cuff) while the Navy and Ivy mitts (worked identically) have two 2-over-4 cables bending away from the center and a ribbed, hugging cuff.

Worked top-down in the round on US#6 needles, the mitts work up quickly. Directions are given both written and charted. One size fits most (the construction allows for multiple hand-sizes to wear comfortably).

Since they are knit from the top down, you can always add length to the cuff if desired.
