What am I missing?
Christmas tree hat
This hat is knitted in the round with a fairly easy intarsia pattern. I made little Christmas trees on a line but I think they also look a little bit like small (church) bells. Either way - those are things that remind us of the wonderful time to come ;) I am very proud of the cord and tassel. It is SO easy to make, but looks very professional. Good luck to you!
Material: Use either two strands of fingering yarn, or use Aran wool (single stranded), giving you the gauge 20sts per 10cm/4” on 4.5mm needles. Read the labels and check gauge!
This winter, you might even have to line the hat with a 6cm/1.5” wide fleece-lining to keep the polar-wind off your ears :)
Needles: 4.5mm DPN’s or a circular needle, short enough to make a hat. If you knit on a circular needle, you’ll need the DPN’s (or use a magic loop)when decreasing.
Sizes: Child size or adult.
Happy x-mas knitting
