Nine different Christmas trees which can be left as they are or decorated. They are perfect for making baubles, hanging ornaments, garlands and other decorations.

All trees are crocheted in the round. If using Cascade 220 yarn and a 4mm hook they are approximately 10cm (4 inches) tall. If you use a different yarn and/or hook the size may differ.

This pattern includes two versions - one using American terms and one using British terms.

You will need:

  • Cascade 220 yarn, about 7g per tree, in Forest Green (8267), White (8505) and Brown (8686).
  • 4mm (G) crochet hook.
  • A tapestry needle.
  • Toy stuffing.
  • A stitch marker.
  • Optional: decorations such as sequins, beads, small buttons, sleigh bells, coloured yarn, ribbon or embroidery thread.

Techniques you should be familiar with before using this pattern:

  • Crocheting in the round.
  • Increases and decreases.
  • Magic loop.
  • Spike stitch (for the Snow-Laden and Icicle Trees).
  • Hdc and dc (US) / htr and tr (UK) (for the Snow Wave and Granny Trees).
  • Surface crochet (for the Surface Swirl and Snow Swirl Trees).
