This rainbow colored baby blanket works up soft, squishy and fast in a chunky weight cotton blend yarn and mostly garter stitch! The fun color change sequence adds to the charm. I couldn’t resist the beautiful colors and feel of the Babe Soft Cotton Chunky yarn…but feel free to work this up in any bulky weight yarn you choose. (Note: if you decide to use a non-cotton yarn, you may need to use slightly larger needles to get the correct gauge.)

I originally knit the blanket in Lang Cotone yarn which has since been discontinued. I recently re-knit the blanket in a new yarn and have updated the pattern. I used one ball each of 8 colors in the Euro Yarns Babe Soft Cotton Chunky, which has double the yardage used in the original pattern, so this new blanket comes out bigger. More to love!
