These hats make great shower gifts, and wonderful photo props. Also super for a lion or bear costume.

Newborn through Toddler sizes are given.

You may use either bulky yarn or 2 strands of worsted medium yarn.

Easy enough for beginners! You knit this back and forth.

Instructions for making both knitted and crocheted ears are given, and also for attaching fringe for a mane. The ears are hard to see on this, my first lion hat. I discovered it would be better to sew on the ears first, closer to the brim, and then make the fringe around them. But this hat was donated for a charity auction, Rock the Runway, here in Wichita last fall, so it’s too late to fix it. That’s my grandson roaring at you, and his baby sister in the pink fuzzy hat!

As with all my patterns, permission is granted to sell the hats you knit.

Email coaching and support included! I can usually answer your questions in just a few hours.
