This simple, triangular shawl is knit in garter stitch using one main color (MC) and three contrasting colors (CC) to create a fun and easy pattern. The shawl can be worked in classic “stoplight” colors or any of your favorite color combinations or gradations.

I used Isager Spinni in the first and fourth photos and Handwerks Super Twist in the second to last photo. LyleSRice used Handwerks So Soft Sock and Knickknackery used a variety of Handwerks yarns. Stella650 used Shibui Knits Linen. Oalewis also used Isager in a very elegant, urban city choice of colors! Elspeth used stash yarn and modified the pattern to meet her yarn requirements.

Emrubin used Isager Alpaca 2. She also created a shorter version to accommodate her height and petite frame. Check out her project for notes on the shorter version!

I have also created a City Stoplights Fingerless Mitts pattern that carries on the theme with a stoplight motif (and a few beads that are optional.). It will help use up extra yarn, too!

All proceeds from this pattern will go to various animal rescue shelters.
