Clara is a mystery shawl, inspired by Tchaikovsky’s ballet The Nutcracker. Individual motifs within the shawl tell the journey the heroine takes throughout the ballet. It is a mock-Faroese, worked from the top down.

The shawl requires approximately 1000 yards of laceweight. However, motifs can be repeated as many times as desired.

Gauge is relative. A shawl is not a fitted corset.

Clue 1 will be released March 17. Additional clues will be released on a bi-weekly basis.
