Leave the gold to Tutankhamen- I’d rather have the exquisite pulled linen fabrics for which the Egyptians were famous! Tiny treasures pulled from tombs and digs provide a glimpse into a rich and full society. Wall paintings and grave figurines wear ancient garments with eerily modern cuts- the body-conscious Egyptians were timeless in their style. This silk dress was inspired by a wood and plaster figure found in the tomb of Meket-re at Thebes. A matching silk scarf Vertigo drapes beautifully to create a pectoral-collar effect.
