This updated verson includes schematics and an additional size. Also clarified some of the instructions. Finished chest sizes are 35 (39, 43, 47, 51) inches, 88 (99, 109, 119, 129) cm

Because the lace offers a lot of give, the 35” chest could easily work for a smaller sized person. Or drop down a needle size.

I had wanted to make a lace sweater for the summer, one that I could throw over the tank tops that I like to wear but that aren’t always warm enough in air conditioning. Wolle’s single color cotton yarn was ideal to make the lace stand out.

Using a boat neck and drop shoulders means there are no decreases to worry about, only increases for the sleeves.

To show the versatility of this pattern, I knit a second one in Done Roving’s fingering merino yarn. The wool option makes for a slightly different fit because cotton has no memory, but it is just as yummy.

Lots of options with this sweater.

I also included sizes in this pattern. Enjoy!
