This Dragonpine Designs pattern was designed by Cathy Frauts.

This stunning cowl pattern combines two different luxurious yarns: Tiara from HiKoo (a merino, mohair, acrylic blend with beads and sequins spun right into the yarn) and Angora from Plymouth Yarns (100% rabbit angora) in two similar colours to create a stunning accessory. La Gran Mohair from Classic Elite Yarns can also be used in place of the angora if you wish; the goal is to use one Aran-weight yarn with a bit of sparkle, and one worsted-weight yarn with a bit of texture. Mix and match textures and colours to create a beautiful, unique cowl!

The crochet hook required is only for the crochet cast on technique; you may choose to substitute this type of cast on for any other cast on method and no hook will be required. You do not need to know how to crochet to do this cast on! Full, step-by-step instructions are included in the pattern. We like this cast-on method because it matches the simple cast off on the other side, giving the cowl a professionally finished look.

To use up all of your yarn, directions for an optional icord embellishment are also included.
