The Cockburn Cowl features alternating blocks of moss and rib stitch neatly trimmed in an I-cord border. The I-cord is created as you knit from cast-on to bind-off. Buttonloops are created in the I-cord bind-off. While not identical to the front, the back is equally attractive.

The cowl can be worn as a shawl collar, a large loop or a moebius based on how you choose to button it.

For best results, use wool or a wool blend that will respond to blocking.
