Just in time for school! This skirt will be an excellent addition to any girl’s wardrobe, and will become a favorite piece in no time.

The skirt is knit entirely in the round from top down. It begins with a provisional cast on, which is used to allow for a knitted on waistband. There are two distinct sections in the skirt construction: A-line top portion and the straight bottom part that features a colorwork design. Since children significantly vary in height, the skirt length is easily customizable.

The Fair Isle design lends itself to many possibilities of various color combinations; my version is just one of them. You can work with as little as one contrast color and with as many as you would like.

This skirt is an excellent stash buster for all your odd left over DK yarn.

The pattern comes with detailed instructions and tutorial links for all the relevant techniques used.
