4 buttons, about 1/2 in. (13 mm) diameter

NOTES:

  1. Cardigan is worked in one piece beg at lower edge. Piece is divided at armholes then Fronts and Back are worked separately.
  2. Right and Left Sleeves are worked separately.
  3. Top section of Hat is worked back and forth in rows. Resulting rectangle is folded and side edges seamed. Lower ribbing is worked in rnds around lower edge of Hat.
  4. Color A is always worked in St st (k on RS, p on WS). All other colors are worked in Garter st (k every row).
  5. When you see ‘work even’ in the instructions, this means to continue on in the pattern st you have established without changing the st count by increasing, decreasing, or binding off.
