Comet is an asymmetrical shawl with long & sharp edges. It’s knit primarily with simple garter stitch spiced up with some short rows and central decreases/increases.

You will need:

  • fingering-weight yarn, approximately 110g /450 meters total. I cannot tell exactly how much yarn of each color I used; but I would say I definitely used more of a gradient yarn then white.

  • circular needles US size 5 (3.75mm). You can start on short circulars or DPNs, but as your shawl grows wider, switch to long circulars.

  • 10 locking markers (you can use staples instead). Regular markers won’t work!

The prototype weights 110g and measures 135 cm long at the top and drops 95cm.
You can use different color leftovers,
or two gradient, or gradient/solid yarn.
