This leafy shawl is worked in the round from the center out to give a square shape which can be folded along the diagonal or in half to be worn around the neck or shoulders. It can be worked in any weight yarn and with any number of repeats. Lace pattern is charted and written.

Skills required
Circular cast-on
Knitting in the round
Yarn overs

41” square knit as written at given gauge (approximately 57” along the diagonal)

-- Depending on the circular cast-on method you choose, you may need a crochet hook in a size compatible with your gauge needles or a bit smaller
-- Set of 5 US 4/3.5 mm dpns (or long circular for magic loop or 2 circulars), or size needed to obtain gauge or a nice fabric
-- Circular needles in the same needle size to transfer to as your shawl grows (you will probably want to start with a 24” or shorter circular and then move to a longer cable)
-- Stitch markers
-- Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
-- Blocking supplies

See several tutorials for circular cast-ons here.

Sample was knit in Yarn Chef Crème Brûlée Lace (discontinued) in Cinnamon Dust (50/50 merino/silk)
