This is a very basic beginner shawl pattern which emphasizes the beauty of the basic stitches, knit and purl. It is a beginner appropriate project, but one that is slightly more longterm than a scarf. It’s very lightweight (mine weighed only 3.5 ounces), so it is comfortable to wear even in the spring and early fall.

All pattern notes are correct to my knowledge. I will update here if a mistake has been found. I always re-upload the corrected version to my website, so you can always download and print it again in the future.

The yarn I made was from a 4 ounce braid of polwarth and silk (70/30).
