With distinct mirrored left and right hand cables, these fingerless mitts will be both sleek and elegant. Wear them in early fall as a compliment to the cooling weather, or wear them indoors to prevent chilly fingers while knitting your next project.

This pattern is excellent for beginner knitters, and it teaches you how to do a basic cable and increases. It’s also great for the avid knitter, since you can make a pair in just a few days--they’re really that quick!

Notions:
Sport weight 100% superwash merino in Silver from Expertly Dyed, 2 skeins (150 yards each). You will use approximately 200 yards for the pattern as written for size large.
5 dpns US size 3 (Note: circular needles are fine, but might be tricky for the thumb cast-on)
Cable needle if desired
Stitch markers for cable pattern/increases if needed
Waste yarn or stitch holders

If you plan to spin up your own yarn for the project, you’ll need at least 110g of wool. I used 80g for the neutral and I used 30g for the dark brown. I had some yarn left over from each ball of yarn.
