Basic pattern for a cowl with reversible cables, contrasted with seed stitch.

The smaler size hugs the (well, my) shoulders as a shoulder warmer but can also be wrapped around the neck twice to keep it warm and cozy. The larger version might hug broader shoulders than mine and would be a bit wider around the neck.
