This part of our Wild Prairie Knits 2015 Year of Mini Mysteries continues with a tour of the French Riviera as we create a long, lacy silk summer scarf. It will have lots of lace and beading and gorgeousness.

Pattern is fully charted and written row by row.

Each person’s lace scarf will be uniquely designed by a little game we will be playing as we continue. Intrigued?

Once again our friends at Stunning String Studio are offering “Cote d’Azure Scarf” yarn kits including yarn in your choice of amazing colors, beads, stitch markers and more!

Pattern discussions will be in the Wild Prairie Knits group, so come and join us.

This pattern is knitCompanion® supported. What does that mean?

Skills: Each clue will be fully written out and charted. Basic knit increases and decreases (yo, k2tog, ssk) are included, but anything beyond that will be explained in detail as we go along. We will be offering a good introduction to beading, easy (short) provisional cast on and a variety of lace stitches.

Yarn: Stunning String Wispy (55% Superwash Bluefaced Leicester, 45% Silk, 875 yds (800 m), 100 grams) 1 skein - Scarlet shown; or any lace weight yarn, 1 skein.

Recommendations: Pattern was written with solid/semi-solid colors in mind.

Needles: US 6 (4.0 mm) 24” (60 cm) or smaller circular needle, or size required to obtain gauge.

Other: 12 Stitch Markers, 1 Locking Stitch Marker, 1 5-8 in. (13-20 cm) stitch holder or waste yarn, and a Tapestry Needle

Optional: 600 Seed Beads 6/0 & crochet hook US 10-14 (1.25 - 0.75 mm) or size that will fit your bead. If you prefer, you may use Super Floss or a beading tool to apply the beads.
