An adaptation of the traditional “market bag”. This very stretchy bag has a short handle making it easy to carry lots of “stuff”.
Starting at the bottom with a garter stitch rectangle, stitches are picked up around the rectangle and then the body is knit in the round.
The handles are created by binding off stitches and then casting stitches back on.
It is easy knit and all of the techniques are explained in the stitch glossary.
Detailed instructions are easy to follow so that even an advanced beginner can make this bag.
I take you every step of the way with detailed photos of anything “tricky”.
