This shawl is the result of an impulsive moment of “why not?” and then followed by an utterly enriching Knit A Long experience. See Ravelry Thread Here

Covid has hit us all hard. It has changed how we live our lives and forced us to examine how we live and share our experiences. We had to distance ourselves from those we loved to protect them and ourselves. We all suffered financial and emotional losses. This shawl represents my journey and was my coping mechanism. I made more than a few friends who joined me along the way. We all coped together.

The pattern is a full round Pi styled shawl with instructions for lace or fingering weight yarns. There are many options and design choices along the way. The options are explained in the pattern, read them carefully. There are 3 options for the edging finish.

The shawl can be beaded or not as you wish. This shawl is a journey and can be made to suit your personal journey as you work your way through the pattern.

For my yarn I chose a yarn that spoke of happiness and the power of change. It speaks of the many possibilities of beauty coming out of a storm.
