Stave off the cold with this cabled cowl worked sideways in a bulky yarn. An attached i-cord is added to both edges for a clean finish. The directionality of the cables alternates, lending visual interest to the cowl.

The pattern uses written and charted instructions. Once you have your cables set up, the pattern is easy to follow and with the super-bulky yarn it flows off your needles quickly.

The cowl begins with a provisional CO and the Kitchener stitch is used to seam the cowl.
