Portland is famous for Craftsman architecture, and some of the loveliest examples in town grace the streets near Twisted. This sport weight shawl echoes the details, angles, and cozy feel of those homes.

YARN
Approximately 625 yards/570 meters sport weight yarn. Shown in Blue Moon Fiber Arts Silky Victoria, color Spinel.

NEEDLES
US #6/4.0mm (or size you need to get gauge) for working flat.

NOTIONS
Tapestry needle.

GAUGE
24 sts = 4”/10 cm in stockinette stitch after blocking.
Gauge is not crucial for this pattern but it will affect finished measurements and yarn usage. In addition, the finished object will be quite stretchy and malleable when blocking.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
Approximate, after blocking
width = 18”/46 cm
length = 48”/122 cm

SKILL LEVEL
Advanced beginner (wrapped stitches, yarn overs)

CONSTRUCTION/SIZING
This rectangular shawl is knit flat from end to end. One size fits most. To make a significantly wider or narrower version, cast on any multiple of 8 stitches then follow instructions as written. For a longer shawl, knit in established pattern to desired length.
