This cowl is a scaleable project that can suit every need! Need a BFF b-day gift? Knit the small size out of some luxury yarn. Going for a transitional, Winter-Spring or Fall-winter accessory? Try a cotton-wool blend and the medium size! Need a mega cozy cowl to cuddle you during the dead of winter? Go for the large in a wooly heavy worsted yarn. Possibilities are endless! Multiple needle sizes and multiple yarn options are listed because this pattern offers opportunity to build a project based on the density of fabric you wish to create. Suggestions are given below on how to achieve a variety of finished cowls based on yarn/needle choice! **Tools:** US 9 Needle (circular, 16 long) Scissors DPN or Cable Needle Stitch marker for marking beginning of round Darning Needle (for weaving ends) **Yarn:** A worsted to bulky weight yarn of your choice Small: ~55g Medium: ~ 65g Large: ~75g **A note about yarn selection:** No gauge is given for this project, and also no yardages. This cowl is scaleable to the size you want, with basic guidelines for pattern repeats. When knitting with a worsted yarn, a US 9 needle will yield a squishy but defined cowl. The thicker the yarn selected (aran, bulky, etc) the more dense the finished cowl will be. If using a thick yarn and wishing to achieve a more squishy, less stiff cowl, go up a few needle sizes.
