Up from the murky depths, it’s the classic Hollywood monster The Creature from the Black Lagoon!

This ami is a cute little creeper who stands about 6 inches tall when finished. Most of the Creature is made with a standard ami yarn (i.e. a 4 medium),but the webbing requires you to have a sport weight or a fingering weight on hand. You will also need safety eyes, stuffing, and (okay, this one is optional but awesome) white fabric paint for the claws.

The pattern is straightforward, with clear written instructions and more than a dozen pictures to help you navigate. Required stitches include sc, HDC, DC, and picot - which is (if you don’t yet know it) a ridiculously simple stitch that you can look up on YouTube or Google and master in about 13 seconds.
