Simple Garter Stitch gets a new slant in these colorful, soft mitts worked on the bias.

The mitts are cast on at one edge and worked flat until the piece, measured on the bias, fits around the wrist. They are then worked in the round, increased to the thumb hole, and worked flat through the palm. Simple stripes give them a glacial feel, and garter borders hide the color transitions at the edges.

A narrow Garter Stitch border in worked in C2 around
the top, the cuff and the thumbhole of each mitt.

Make two identical mitts; they can be worn reversibly.
