While creating this design, DH was describing his cross-country ski trip. When I looked at the stitch pattern and noticed the “crosses” and “tracks” in the design, the name Cross-Country Shawl seemed perfect! It’s worked back and forth in rows, bordered by a minimal shell-edge to leave the focus on the lacy stitch pattern.

Gray shawl in Lion Brand “Lion Wool.”
Purple shawl in Brown Sheep “Lamb’s Pride Worsted.”
Multicolor shawl in two thin rayon/cotton cone yarns held double-strand throughout, worked on smaller hook (size H/8) with ch 260 to start, for a longer, narrower shawl (17” w. x 70” l.)
