This Capelet design was inspired by the historic books collected by Miss Rachel Kay-Shuttleworth containing fragments of crochet swatches in the Gawthorpe Textiles Collection.

MATERIALS
Natural Dye Studio Godiva Silk, 70% wool, 30% silk, 100g/400m/437½yds
1 (2, 2) skeins in Westerwood
2.5mm hook (USB/1-C/2)
Ribbon, lace or crocheted cord to fasten. Alternatively, add buttons to close..

TENSION
Exact tension is not essential, but the sample measures approx 36dc to 10cm/4in using 2.5mm hook or size required to obtain correct tension.

PATTERN NOTES
Capelet is worked from side edge to side edge, working left front first, then back, then right front.
