Happy Holidays, Knitting Friends!

This is going to be my go-to last-minute gift for the holidays--super easy and fast with just enough interest to keep you from getting bored. A simple rectangle with just a smidgeon of color work, the Crosshatch Cowl plays with line, color and fun chunky buttons, and it works up so fast you can finish several for the loved ones on your holiday list. Looks great in contrasting solids or a solid with a self-striping yarn.

I mixed both Aran and Bulky weights in my second iteration with no problems. Malabrigo Mecha is classified as a bulky, but is on the smaller side of bulky. You can definitely get measurements with an Aran weight and maybe even a worsted weight. A true bulky may come out larger, but the design is easily modified and would look good at almost any size. The important thing is to have a loose, pliable fabric for styling.

Hope you enjoy! And special thanks to my lovely mother for modeling. Happy Holidays!
